Have you ever heard of a pink forklift? Not many people have, but Dayna's Doors has been rocking it for 3+ years. The pink forklift has become a mascot of sorts, where many people will tell other people "you can't miss it, it's the shop with the pink forklift!" I have to admit guys and girls look pretty cool when driving this sporty unit!!
The first pink forklift was retired early summer 2008 and donated to a local charity and later donated to a metal recycling yard. This here is a picture of the second pink forklift and she is now being retired. We have been through a lot with her, she has helped us is so many ways. We have loaded many a trucks for shipping all over the world! We will miss her greatly but will warmly welcome a new one to our team!
Stay tuned for the new forklift, will it be pink too?

Dayna's doors offers a really neat renovation opportunity for those who want to change the personality of their homes. Simply by changing your old doors will update and change the feeling of a home. After all homeowners like to renovate to update and sell or make it fit their personalities. Yes thats right homes can match your personality!;)
There are so many styles to choose from at Dayna's Doors from traditional, shakers with clean lines to Frank Lloyd Wright designs, we carry many different kinds wooden and Fiberglass.
Dayna's Doors will take your old doors and recycle them, as we don't waste or throw away. If you don't want to replace your entire frame we can match up the hinges and door knobs of the old and to new or refurbished door. We also can cut them down and resize to fit your existing doors. This isn't to sound completely easy and simple... once we have machined out the hinges and matched up the door knob holes, when you bring them home it might take a little playing around for them to fit in the existing frames and work properly. If the old doors could speak and let us know what has been done to them in the past 20 years...shaved here, cut there...etc then there would be no problems! Since they can't we do our best to analyze the doors, cut and shave and hinge where needed, the rest is up to you or the patient carpenter you have hired!
Get some new/refurbished doors to fit your personality, change is good!
Come visit us at Dayna's Doors where we can dream up new ideas and make things possible!

Which way is up for a door?

When you are looking at a door there are styles, rails and panels that make up a door. The rail and style of a door consists of one of more panels surrounded by two vertical boards (styles) on each side, and horizontal boards (rails) top and bottom. There is sometime a center rail this is usually called a lock rail, as this is where your hardware for locking will be drilled and installed.
When you are looking at a door 99% of the time the bottom rail will be the largest rail out of the two.
In this picture with the Craftsman door ($499.99 door only) it is easy to tell which way is up, the windows are a clear giveaway. But what if there isn't a clear distinction? You can use the bottom rail knowledge!
Knowing what a style and rail will help you identify which way is up!

How to know which way your doors swing
When entering into a world of renovation jargon and uncertanties it can be tough, confusing and outright frustrating when you don't understand. If you are replacing your doors it is important to understand which way they swing. When you are dealing with interior doors it is easiest to talk about INSWINGS only.
If you are standing in the hallway looking at your door, hinges are on the right hand side and the door knob is on the left this door swings into the room (inswing) this is a Right Hand Inswing. If the hinges are on the left and the door swings into the room=Left Hand Inswing.
With these tips you should understand your Rights and Lefts!

Fiberglass Sizing smaller in height and width
Historically doors measured true to their description and size. Wooden doors are still made to true size, so if you are looking for a 36" x 80" x 1 3/4" wood is what you are looking for.
I don't have any good reason why the sizes aren't true, but I do know that Dayna's Doors can add to both the bottom and edge of the door to make it a true size. Dayna's Doors is able to adjust and help make those adjustments, because the fiberglass exterior doors are such a great product making the change is well worth it!
Special Prehung Fiberglass Panel Door
New Fiberglass 6 Panel prehung on primed jamb 4 9/16 the door only comes in a 3/0 x 6/7 x 1 3/4 selling for $265.00 until the end of September!
